The Affirmation of St. Louis

The Affirmation of St. Louis was adopted by those Anglicans meeting in St. Louis in 1977 as a statement of principles to guide them and others in the establishment of the new Anglican jurisdiction. As such, it is a foundation document of our Church.

We are Anglican because we practice the Faith, Biblically and Traditionally based, formerly handed down to us by the Church of England, and recently relinquished by the Episcopal Church in America.

We are Catholic because we continue the unbroken line back to the Apostles.

All Saints Anglican Church, Saluda, Virginia, is a Parish of the Anglican Catholic Church. We practice the Apostolic Faith as handed down by the Apostles. We welcome inquirers.

ALL SAINTS BECOMES A PARISH!

Having fulfilled the necessary criteria of membership and financial stability, the Diocese of the mid-Atlantic, acting in Synod in June, granted the dignity of Parish to the Mission of All Saints. Henceforth we shall be an independent entity instead of under the direct control of the Bishop. Our priest will be

the Rector instead of Priest-in-Charge. Our governing council will be a Vestry. The first official action of the new Vestry was to unanimously vote to issue a call to the Rev. Fr. Jeffrey Johnson, who has accepted. His formal installation will be held shortly at the convenience of Bishop Lerow.
